Choosing a Rowing Machine

The rowing machine is a solid choice of home equipment to help you get fit. It gives you a complete workout that can result in significant changes to your fitness in a short period. It is also a low-impact workout on your joints, which will prevent injuries or pain.

If you are planning on buying a rowing machine, there are a few things you can take into consideration in order to make the better choice for your needs and requirements.

Choosing a Rowing Machine

Size

You must consider the area and space in which you plan on using it/storing it. Some machines are foldable, which make it easier to transport them or put them way after using them. Some heavy-duty ones will give you a great workout, yet, you will not be able to move them by yourself.

If spacing is an issue, then we suggest our I.Aquo Dual Rowing Machine, which can be folded and easily put away.

Weight Capacity

Who will be using the machine must be kept in mind when choosing one. Mainly, because you need to make sure the machine will support the weight of its user. Foldable machines and lighter machines might buckle under the weight of an heavier user; in those cases, we reccomend sturdy, commercial machines, like our own LK5000 Commercial Rowing Machine.

Noise

Noise is something that is usually not thought of before buying any equipment. The reality is that noisy machines can be very inconvenient, specially when living in close quarters with other people or with young children. You’ll want to give the machine a try before buying it, to test how much noise it makes. Our York 7000 R1 Rower  is designed to minimise noise.
