Glasgow University got in-touch with Chandler Sports to request that three of their fitness suites be fitted with 6x12m TRX ceiling mounted beams and 2x15m boxing bags rails. With time and dates scheduled for measuring and rectifying the obstacles the project began to unfold. The biggest problem we had was the length of the beams. At 15meters it was impossible to navigate the beams to their suites within the complex. James from Turners Blacksmith in Penicuik suggested two part sections is made and a join be created to continue its length within the suite. Installation of each suite took around one week with a further week fabricating the beams. Chris Jewel general manager of Glasgow University was pleased to see the project move in a positive direction and for the first suite to be finished in no time. The remaining rooms are to be completed in October 2015.
